Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 September 2026

You can read everything on this blog without telling us anything. No account, no cookies to accept, no personal data. We only hold personal data about you if you write to us, subscribe to the newsletter, or agree to analytics — and each of those is something you choose to do.

Who we are

IMRS News is published by AP agency s.r.o., company number (IČO) 19658028, with its registered office at Husova třída 312, 345 62 Holýšov, Czech Republic, registered with the Regional Court in Plzeň under file no. C 44168.

We decide what this site collects and why, which makes us the controller of your personal data under the GDPR. You can reach us at support@imrs-news.com about anything on this page.

What we collect, and why

  • When you send the contact form — your name, e-mail address, subject and message, so we can read it and reply. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR, our interest in answering someone who wrote to us. We keep it as long as we are dealing with your message, and a reasonable time afterwards.
  • When you subscribe to the newsletter — your e-mail address, so we can send it. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 7(2) of Act No. 480/2004 Coll. We keep it until you unsubscribe, and every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link.
  • If you accept analytics — which pages you viewed, how far you scrolled, which links you clicked, where your pointer moved, your approximate location, and your device and browser. This includes a playback of your visit that we can watch; anything you type is masked before it leaves your browser. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 89(3) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll. Kept for 14 months by Google Analytics; playbacks are deleted after 30 days and the aggregated click data after 9 months.
  • Always, automatically — server logs holding your IP address, the time, the page requested and your browser, to keep the site running, to spot abuse and to find out what happened if something goes wrong. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Kept for 3 months.

We do not ask for anything we do not need. There is no registration, no profile and no payment on this blog.

What the analytics actually do

If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity — two ordinary, widely used tools. What we get from them is a picture of how the blog is actually read: which articles people come for, how far down a page they get, and where a piece stops holding their attention. Clarity also records a playback of a visit, which is how we see where somebody got stuck rather than only that they left.

We use that to fix the things getting in the way — a layout that buries the interesting part, an article that loses everyone halfway, a link nobody can find. It goes back into making the site better to read, which is the point of running it.

It is not used for advertising. We run no advertising cookies at all, and we do not track you across other websites.

Who else handles your data

A few companies process data on our behalf, under contract and on our instructions:

  • Google Ireland Limited — Google Analytics.
  • Microsoft Corporation — Clarity.
  • Microsoft Azure — hosting of this site, in the European Union (West Europe region, the Netherlands).
  • ZONER a.s. (Czech Republic) — delivering the newsletter.

Google and Microsoft are based in, or may transfer data to, the United States. Those transfers rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, where it does not apply, on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Your newsletter address stays with a Czech provider.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete it;
  • restrict what we do with it, or object to it;
  • hand it over in a portable form.

Where we rely on your consent — the newsletter and analytics — you can withdraw it at any time, and that does not affect anything done before you withdrew it. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and analytics can be turned off from the cookie banner.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Czech supervisory authority: Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, uoou.cz. You can also complain to the authority in the EU country where you live.

We do not make any decision about you automatically, and we do not profile you.

This blog has no accounts, so analytics records are tied to a random identifier in your browser, not to your name. That means we normally cannot connect a request about “your” data to anything we hold (Article 11 GDPR). You can always withdraw consent, which stops further collection, and playbacks are deleted after 30 days in any case.

Contact, links and changes

Questions about this policy or your data? Write to support@imrs-news.com and we will answer within one month.

Some articles link to sites we do not run. Once you follow such a link this policy no longer applies — the other site has its own, and its own conditions of access.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change affects something you have consented to, we will ask you again rather than assume.
